Pierogi are the national dish of Poland and an important part of its culture and cuisine. A rustic and hearty offering, the Polish pierogi are one of the most popular dumplings in Eastern Europe.
The word Pierogi has many variants: perogi, pyrogy, perogie, perogy, pirohi, piroghi pirogi, pirogen, pierogy, pirhy, pyrogie and pyrohy. They are also known as vareniki and pelmeni in Russia and Ukraine.
In our busy fast paced lives it is hard to create foods which taste like our mothers or grandmothers used to prepare. Foods made from natural ingredients and foods that make us feel good, Krysia's Pierogi is dedicated in achieving this goal and preserving the 'Old World' flavour of Polish food.

All our pierogi are made with the freshest, high quality ingredients, bringing the most authentic pierogi to you with no added preservatives. Our pierogi are sold frozen which maintains the superb taste, freshness and flavour that is synonymous with our national dish.
Our pierogi line includes three home-made varieties: Potato & Cheese (Ruskie), Meat & Sauerkraut, Mushroom & Sauerkraut.
 
Cooking Tips
Boiled (Recommended)
Place frozen pierogi into boiling water with a teaspoon of oil for 7-8 minutes, stirring frequently until they float to the top. Drain and toss gently in melted butter. Serve with your choice of favourite toppings such as sour cream, sautéed onions or fried bacon.
Pan Fried (Traditional Favourite)
In a non-stick frying pan add around 1/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon oil and heat to boiling point. Place frozen pierogi side by side into the boiling water. Cover with lid and reduce temperature to simmer. Let simmer until water evaporates and the pierogi start frying. Turn to fry the other side.
Recommended Garnishes
Melted butter, caramelised onion and/or chopped bacon, sour cream, fried mushrooms.
